CV

After graduating from Chelsea College of Art in 1993 with a BA(Hons) in textiles cath was employed in the fashion and textile industry as a design and production manager for Charles and Patricia Lester Ltd. In 1996 she became a freelance artist/maker, teaching textiles in FE/HE and in the wider community, whilst also making exhibiting her work.

She set up Oriel Context Gallery in Cardiff Bay in 2004, managing the small gallery and workshop space until 2007. Context aimed to showcase the work of exciting emerging textile, fibre and print artists.

In 2007 she returned to education to study for an MA Fine Art - Contemporary Dialogues, at Swansea Metropolitan University, in which she gained a pass with distinction.

She has been a trustee of the Women's Arts Association and the Makers Guild in Wales, based in Cardiff and is a founder member of the artist group MaP - Makers and Practitioners.
